Amazon closes £4.25 billion sterling bond sale
Amazon completed a sale of four series of pound-sterling notes with maturities from 2029 to 2045, totaling £4.25 billion in principal. The offering price was about £4.242 billion in total.
Amazon elects cybersecurity executive Kevin Mandia to its board
Amazon's board elected Kevin Mandia, founder and CEO of Armadin and former CEO of Mandiant, as a director. He joins the Audit and Security committees and received a stock award for 4,086 shares.
Amazon reports second-quarter 2026 results
Net sales rose 20% to $200.6 billion, and AWS sales rose 37%, which Amazon called its fastest growth in 18 quarters. Net income of $62.6 billion ($5.75 per diluted share) included $53.4 billion of pre-tax non-operating income, mostly from investments in Anthropic.

Amazon completed the sale of eight series of dollar-denominated notes, one floating-rate and seven fixed-rate, with maturities from 2029 to 2066. The principal amounts add up to $25 billion.
